Steve Sanchez

Is a multi-instrumentalist who began recording and composing with just a phone and a guitar, he draws inspiration from video games, films, and Mexican music to create scores that explore both darkness and beauty. Tierra de Fuego reflects this fusion, blending rich orchestral textures with the rhythms and spirit of his Mexican background.

An avid gamer and filmgoer passionate about horror, action, and drama, he fell in love with video game and film music early on. Titles such as Silent Hill, Call of Duty, and Resident Evil, along with the work of Tim Burton such as Edward Scissorhands, helped shape his musical voice. He frequently explores the darker side of the orchestra while employing lush harmonies to create striking contrasts: “Finding the darker tones of an orchestra springs a piece with beauty.”

He has collaborated with directors and producers to create original scores for films. “I have always loved helping people tell their stories and using my music to guide that story.”
