His journey into composition began with little more than a phone and a guitar, along with an imagination shaped by the worlds of film and video games. Inspired by the haunting atmosphere of Silent Hill, the intensity of Call of Duty, the psychological tension of Resident Evil, and the unforgettable scores accompanying Tim Burton films such as Edward Scissorhands, he developed a musical voice that explores the space where darkness and beauty coexist. As he describes it, "The darker tones of an orchestra can bring a piece to life with unexpected beauty."

He earned his Bachelor's degree in Composing for Visual Media from the Los Angeles College of Music, where he studied under the late Marty Davich and Mark Smythe, along with Brett Perry and Jon Kull. Their mentorship helped refine his orchestration, strengthen his storytelling, and shape a collaborative philosophy centered on one belief. Music should elevate a narrative rather than simply accompany it.

His credits include the original scores for the short films Chana, directed by Carlos Alvarez, an award winning film recognized in Guatemala, and Underneath the Bodies, directed by award winning filmmaker Peach Rosemary. His orchestral works have been professionally recorded in Budapest, and his chamber compositions have been performed by accomplished musicians whose credits include performances and recordings with acclaimed film composers Ludwig Göransson, John Williams, and Hans Zimmer. Whether writing for an intimate string quartet or a full symphony orchestra, Sanchez combines live performers with modern production techniques to create immersive, emotionally resonant scores that always serve the story first.

A firm believer that the strongest scores are born through collaboration, Sanchez works closely with directors, producers, and creative teams to understand the emotional heartbeat of every project before writing a single note.
