Steve Sanchez - Media Composer
I am a multi-instrumentalist and composer who began creating music with just a phone and a guitar. Drawing inspiration from video games, film, and everyday moments, I write cinematic scores that explore both darkness and beauty.
As an avid gamer and filmgoer with a passion for horror, action, and drama, I developed an early love for video game and film music. Titles such as Silent Hill, Call of Duty, and Resident Evil, along with the films of Tim Burton such as Edward Scissorhands, helped shape my musical voice. I am especially drawn to the darker side of the orchestra, often balancing it with lush harmonies to create striking contrast, finding that “the darker tones of an orchestra can bring a piece to life with unexpected beauty.”
I enjoy collaborating closely with directors and producers to help bring their stories to life through music. I have worked on original scores for film and media, writing for ensembles that range from string quartets to full orchestras, often blending live musicians with virtual instruments to achieve a cinematic sound.
For me, composing is about storytelling. I’ve always loved helping others tell their stories and using music to guide and enhance the emotional journey on screen.
