Steve Sanchez

Steve is a multi-instrumentalist who began recording and composing with just a phone and his guitar. Drawing inspiration from video games, films, and Mexican music, he creates scores that explore both darkness and beauty. His piece Tierra de Fuego reflects this fusion, blending rich orchestral textures with the rhythms and spirit of his Mexican roots.

Steve is an avid gamer and movie goer passionate about horror, action and drama in which he started falling in love with video game and film music. Video games such as Silent Hill, Call of Duty, Resident Evil, and Tim Burton films such as Edward Scissorhands are a few that inspired Steve to write music. He explores the dark side of the orchestra and implementing the contrast of lush harmonies. “Finding the darker tones of an orchestra springs a piece with beauty.” said Steve.

Steve has worked alongside directors and producers on creating original score for films. “I have always loved helping people tell their stories and using my music to guide that story.”
